Mayhill Hospitals Medical Psychiatry Unit addresses primary medical issues with co-occurring psychiatric disorders for adult and geriatric populations. Patients’ medical needs are addressed in the acute setting by internal medicine physicians while psychiatry and social services treat the patient individually for co-occurring psychiatric needs. This allows for the patient’s whole health to be addressed in a shorter length of stay in a hospital setting.
