Overview of Hospital Pavia Hato Rey

Hospital Pavia Hato Rey, affiliated with Metro Pavia Health System, has a wealth of history dating back to the 1950s, when it was founded by the Puerto Rican physician González Mena with the name of Our Lady of Guadalupe, in honor of his wife Guadalupe, of Mexican descent. In August 2006, Hospital Pavia Hato Rey joined the Metro Pavia Health System, the largest network of hospitals in Puerto Rico. Since then, the most modern Delivery Rooms have been developed, with “suites” specially prepared for family and assisted delivery modalities. The Imaging Center has also been developed , which provides sonomamography services with the most advanced digital equipment, sonography, digital mammography and stereo-tactical breast biopsy. In addition, the Imaging Center has a “High Field” Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment that allows carrying out breast biopsies and the full range of other specialized studies in Orthopedics, Neurology and Cardiovascular.
