The corporate chronicle of Doctors' Center Hospital dates back to 1959, when doctors Pedro Blanco Lugo and Antonio Abreu founded, in Manatí, a small hospital institution initially aimed at patients in the northwest of the country, but destined to become, in a few decades, a a pillar of medical services for large regions of Puerto Rico. In December 2009, Doctors' Center Hospital inaugurated the Dr. Pedro Blanco Lugo II Medical Tower Ambulatory Surgery Center.
