Situated in the Centre of city of Chandigarh in Sector 17, Chhuttani Medical Centre (C.M.C.) a Multispeciality Hospital was established in April, 1979 by late Prof. Pran Nath Chhuttani, a former Director of Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh (P.G.I.). The Centre provides patient care of the highest order in various disciplines of Medicine and Surgery which includes General Medicine, Nephrology, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Gastrointestinal Diseases, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, Ear Nose Throat Surgery diseases Ophthalmology and Neurosurgical problems.
There are 20 Consultants attached to the Medical Centre in various specialities. Some of them are former faculty of the P.G.I. The Centre is famous for its management of diabetic patients, hypertension, kidney and psychiatric diseases. One of the most well equipped Endoscopic Unit under a highly trained Gastroenterologist - is famous in its diagnostic and therapeutic facilities for carrying out upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopies colonoscopy and ERCP which includes removal of gall stones non-operatively.
