About Dr. Park
Dr. Eun Joo Park is an internationally minded physician. From Seoul, South Korea, to her new location in South Bend, she has broad, world experience in the field of medicine. No matter where she has been, Dr. Park said she hopes her patients know she is there for them, to help as much as she can.
In her work as a hospitalist and nocturnist, which means she works the night shift, Dr. Park’s interactions with patients are different from doctors who see people in an office setting. She might check a patient in or visit them on rounds.
Regardless of when and where she is working, Dr. Park is interested in practicing evidence-based medicine. Her studies began at Hanyang University Medical School and she completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Hanyang University Medical Center. With a desire to receive further training, she began a fellowship in Nephrology at Asan Medical Center in Seoul.
An internship in internal medicine took her to the United States, where she worked at Huron Hospital and later for the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, both part of the Cleveland Clinic health system. With a love for learning, she followed this time with a clinical fellowship in rheumatology at the Barnes Jewish Hospital, part of the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She also was a clinical faculty member in rheumatology at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas.
Prior to joining Beacon Health System, Dr. Park has worked in hospitals as a rheumatologist (Ferrell-Duncan Clinic /Cox health, Springfield, MO.) and as a hospitalist in the Deaconess Health System in Evansville, IN.
