Dr. Moran is an experienced general orthopaedic surgeon who also specializes in spine surgery. He graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha honors from the UT McGovern School of Medicine in Houston. Prior to medical school he graduated summa cum laude with a Master's degree in electrical engineering at the University of Texas at Austin specializing in the biomedical field. Following general orthopaedic training, he completed a spine fellowship at the Institute of Spinal Disorders at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
He enjoys using his engineering background along with a comprehensive and conservative approach to tackle complicated orthopedic problems. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a diplomate of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has lived and practiced orthopedics in The Woodlands for 20 years.
Currently, he treats general orthopedic as well as neck and lower back problems. He has combined his engineering background with his research interests and holds a patent on spine fusion with researchers at the Baylor Center for Cell and Gene Therapy. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and five children, traveling, playing tennis and jogging.
