Nicole S. Belkin, MD, an orthopedic surgeon, sports medicine specialist with expertise in non-operative and operative treatment of injuries and conditions affecting the knee, shoulder elbow, and hip. Dr. Belkin earned her medical degree from the University of Florida School of Medicine and completed her residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. She conducted laboratory research for an additional year at the university and won the Orthopedic Research and Education Foundation's Resident Clinician Scientist Award. Her research received both national and international recognition. Dr. Belkin completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Through this advanced training, she gained experience treating articular cartilage injuries, meniscus injury and meniscus deficiency, ligament reconstruction, patellofemoral conditions, shoulder dislocations and separations, rotator cuff tears, elbow injuries and hip impingement. She is an expert in minimally invasive and arthroscopic techniques. Her clinical focus is in the treatment of ligament, cartilage, meniscus and patellofemoral injuries of the knee; rotator cuff and labrum injuries and arthritis of the shoulder; injuries and overuse conditions of the elbow and labrum injuries and impingement of the hip. Dr. Belkin provides individualized state-of-the-art care to athletes of all descriptions. She has served as an assistant team physician for the New York Giants, an associate team physician for Iona College Athletics, and an orthopedic consultant to the New York Public School Athletic League. She is currently the head team physician at Pace University.
