Orthopedics
I was drawn to the field of orthopaedics because it’s very practical. Often there is an obvious “fix” for a patient’s pain or orthopaedic issue that will leads to restoring a patients’ pain-free functions.
For some patients, this means that they can return to outdoor activities they love, such as skiing or hiking. For others, it may mean being able to walk without a walker or being able to go grocery shopping without pain. In each case, my goal is to see patients feeling better and excited about the activities they can participate in.
I love when people come back to me after we have successfully treated their joint pain and they tell me about the activities they’ve been able to return to. It really is amazing to me how much increased mobility can change a person's attitude and lifestyle completely.
Our clinic is known for taking our time with patients to explain things clearly, and for being accessible to them both before and after surgery or other treatments. I collaborate closely with Dr. Fillingham, and we both strive to make our practice run as a team. As a patient, you can see either one of us and know that you will get the same thorough, compassionate care and achieve the same results.
