Charles F. Dendy, DO, FACOS, received his Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University and attended medical school at the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center's Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. Dr. Dendy is board certified in surgery and is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, The American Osteopathic Association and The American Medical Association.

Charlie F. Dendy, DO, has special interest in minimally invasive surgery. Minimally invasive surgery, sometimes called laparoscopic surgery, is done through small incisions. Using specialized techniques, miniature cameras with microscopes, tiny fiber-optic flashlights and special instruments, Dr. Dendy can perform surgery through incisions that require only a stitch or two to close.

Minimally invasive surgery means less trauma to the body, less blood loss, smaller surgical scars and less need for pain medication. Patients leave the hospital sooner after minimally invasive surgery and return to normal activities sooner than with conventional open surgery.

Dr. Dendy has extensive training in laparoscopic colon resections and laparoscopic hernia repairs including inguinal, ventral/incisional and hiatal hernias. He is committed to bringing the latest surgical advancements to Conroe, Texas.
