Dr. Pacheco (pronounced Puh-Check-O”) is a board-certified colon & rectal surgeon and a board-certified general surgeon who focuses on the operative and non-operative treatment of diseases of the colon, rectum and anus. He was born and raised in Illinois and trained at the University of Illinois and Southern Illinois University. He has over a decade of experience with advanced colorectal surgical techniques including robotic, laparoscopic and open surgery. Dr. Pacheco has been involved in the teaching of general surgery residents and the colorectal surgery fellows at SIU since he started practicing. He commonly treats cancers of the colon, rectal and anus.
