Don Kimon Graduated from the Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in January 2000. He has studied with Master Wang Jin Huai, Wang Ju-Yi and Xia Peiqi, among others. He has been the Herbalist for Yong Sheng Herbs since 2012, former Academic and Clinic Dean of Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, has taught Differential Diagnosis, Chinese Internal Medicine, Clinic Skills, Point Location, uses and combining of points, and the history and philosophy of the I-Ching. He also teaches the herbal classic texts Shang Han Lun and Wen Bing Lun - the etiology and progression of epidemic diseases.
The beauty of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine is that there are many ways to treat the same imbalance or condition. Don draws from many of the different traditional styles of acupuncture as well as cupping. As an herbalist he applies the ancient wisdom from the classics and utilizes modern pharmacological research to create potent formulas which are tailored to the individual instead of the masses.
Don is ordained in the Zen Buddhist tradition, is a master of the Japanese Tea Ceremony in the Urasenke tradition, scholar, artist, cyclist, and has studied martial arts for over 25 years.
