My wife has been with DKV for the past 5 years and she has been fortunate that no serious claims were made on the policy, but the minor claims were adequately dealt with.
However, in December of 2020 I requested to be added to DKV Insurance. This was approved and the annual payment made for a joint policy in my name.
I requested a copy of the Policy document on 27th January 2021 , but was informed they only have this in Spanish, received nothing, ether from the agent or DKV office.
I suffered an accident involving my lower back in July of 2021 and commenced the procedures for identifying the problem, which was finally identified as a compressed lumbar trapping the nerves. I was then offered an urgent operation date for January 2022 by the Surgeon (that DKV had made NO attempt to source for me) and requested authorization for the operation. This was denied as apparently they had added a clause into my policy which excluded lower back issues and ANY DEGENERATIVE medical issue.

HOW AM I TO KNOW WHAT IS APPROVED OR DENIED IF THEY DO NOT SUPPLY A POLICY EITHER IN ENGLISH OR AT ALL?????

WHAT IS THE USE OF A POLICY THAT IS NEXT TO USELESS FOR ELDERLY CLIENTS????

As DKV had failed to provide the specific policy document, I was not made aware of ANY exclusions.

All elderly individuals have degenerative (age related conditions) in ALL of their bodies, so according to DKV, there is NO possibility of coverage without using this as an excuse to decline payment.

DKV have to be the most un-transparent Insurance Company hiding behind their policy details, specifically by
a/ Refusing to send the document
b/ Producing the document in Spanish, but hard selling to English patients.

If you value for the cover for what is primarily designed to do, cover you in the event of an accident, and not simply to find a way around the Spanish requirements for a private medical policy. AVOID DKV LIKE THE PLAGUE.
They do nothing to locate or source a local Specialist or Doctor, and keep referring to their lists, which are useless if you do not speak Spanish.
Deeply regretting the day I ever considered DKV for medical cover. They do not provide what they advertise, all hidden in the policy document they do not send.
