Why Choose UV Shoe Sanitation

We can’t deny the fact that no matter how we try to clean our shoes, feet, and socks, they’d always have a certain smell – especially after a long day out. When you’re aware of it, you start to feel a little self-conscious, too.

Imagine going to a friend’s house and you’re asked to take off your shoes. You’d be too worried about others noticing the smell that it leaves you frantic.Well, fortunately, there’s a way to prevent these events from happening.

You might’ve thought that getting rid of that smell is as simple as throwing your shoes into the tub. You think that a little scrubbing will do. However, as it turns out, the smell is much more stubborn than you thought. Don’t worry; there’s an easier way to get rid of it.

When it comes to sanitizing your footwear, UV or Ultraviolet Light is probably the last thing you could think of. But guess what? It is a new and effective way to get rid of all those odor-causing germs. Usually, we’d just scrub the insides of our shoes to get the job done. Now, we have the technology to help us out.

Why do people nowadays use UV sanitation, you ask? To answer all those questions, just keep on reading.

What Is UV Shoe Sanitation?

UV sanitizers claim to get rid of odor-causing germs and infection-causing fungi. You may think that when you scrub your shoes, you’re removing all those nasty things inside. However, there are irritants that are undetectable to the naked eye, which is why traditional cleaning will never surpass the capacity of UV sanitation. UV eliminates bacteria like those that cause athlete’s foot. This is something no ordinary scrubbing can achieve.

How Does UV Light Work?

UV light is effective in eliminating fungi, bacteria, molds, and other types of germs. It comes as a handheld device, which you can just insert into your shoes and leave for a suggested period of time. There’s also a sanitation process for the soles of our shoes, and the rest of the external areas. It’s amazing how technology can change the way we clean, too.

These handy machines used to sanitize the soles of our footwear work quickly. A shoe sanitizer is much needed when it comes to cleaning outdoor footwear these days.Given the many opportunistic pathogens just lurking in every corner of the worldwaiting for their next host, there will be higher risks if we don’t sanitize well.

When it comes to getting rid of nasty odors, we want to do it the easiest way possible. This is mainly why modern-day people have become fond of these nifty devices. It can deep clean even medical equipment because as mentioned before, it has bacteria killing properties that work fast and efficiently.

Cleaning is one of the most important things to observe to maintain good hygiene and lifestyle. Sometimes it takes more than soap and water to clean a bunch of stuff. You might as well try to use UV light and experience its disinfecting properties firsthand. Other uses for it are the following:

  • Surface Disinfection
  • Shoe Sanitation
  • Air Disinfection
  • Germicidal Lamps

There are various uses when it comes to UV light (read more). Disinfecting shoes just happen to be a great way to utilize its cleaning properties. Many of us may experience excessive sweating in the foot area, and that’s normal.

Research says there are about 250,000 sweat glands in a pair of feet, which can produce as much as half a pint of sweat in a day. Normally, it won’t be a problem if the feet are exposed to open air. However, closed shoes prevent moisture from escaping and it becomes an ideal environment for bacteria to proliferate.

Thus, the need for UV protection.

Applying UV light on your footwear after you get home will only take two minutes of your time. In exchange for that two minutes, you get fresh, odorless shoes and healthier feet. You can also prevent major foot diseases like AF and Eczema. Good hygiene goes a long way so make sure that you take better care of your body – every nook and cranny!
