St. John’s Health is Jackson Hole’s first hospital, first built in 1916 by the local St. John’s Episcopal Church. Today, we are more than a hospital, providing a breadth of primary and specialty care along with wellness services. The current hospital was built in 1991, and since then, we have expanded it to include a new birth center, cancer pavilion, wellness corridor, and more.
Our current facility has 108 beds, including 48 Acute/Primary Care Unit beds and 60 long-term care beds in the Living Center. In a typical fiscal year, we admit roughly 1,900 patients, deliver 450 babies, perform 2,750 surgeries, and handle more than 8,500 emergencies. Our treatment and care are designed to expedite recovery, and most inpatients only need to spend 2 and half days in the hospital.
