Fauquier Hospital was founded on February 26, 1925. Originally, Fauquier Hospital started out as a 20-bed hospital and has since then, grown to a 97-bed acute care hospital offering surgical services, a 24-hour Emergency Department, extensive medical imaging capabilities, a Center for Cancer Care, a Center for Weight Loss, an Intensive Care Unit and several floors of inpatient rooms. The fourth floor of the hospital is devoted to our Family Birthing Center and Intermediate Care Nursery and contains approximately 11 maternity beds. The hospital consists of approximately 1,100 staff and 220 physicians.
