At NYU Winthrop Hospital, part of NYU Langone Health, we provide the highest level of inpatient and outpatient medical care to adults and children through our extensive and growing network of Long Island healthcare facilities.

NYU Winthrop Hospital, formerly known as Winthrop-University Hospital, is a 591-bed medical center located in Mineola. We offer care in nearly every specialty and subspecialty of medicine and surgery and are recognized leaders in treatment for heart disease, cancer, and diabetes. We combine this breadth and depth of services with a compassionate and personalized approach to care.

We are home to Nassau County’s only adult Level 1 Trauma Center certified by the American College of Surgeons with full adult and pediatric capabilities. Our trauma center team, part of NYU Winthrop Hospital’s Department of Emergency Medicine, provides advanced care to adults and children who have serious or life-threatening injuries.
