Calvert Memorial Hospital began in 1919 as a small community hospital. Nearly a century later, Calvert Health System has evolved into an organization with locations and services throughout the county and beyond.
Today, the health system includes the medical center in Prince Frederick along with an employed physician network, a diagnostic imaging center, urgent care facilities throughout the county and more. It is the largest private employer in Calvert County with close to 1,400 employees. We also introduced the Hill-Rom Centrella Smart+ Bed system to our patient rooms. These beds include convenient features such as USB ports and mobile device storage to make accessing those technologies safer and simpler for patients. The new beds also aid in communication by offering verbal safety prompts to the patient and the care team as well as visual notifications that improve patient safety.
