Dr. Thomaides became a part of my medical journey in 2018 following a heart failure I suffered, which resulted in a two-week hospitalization. My heart rate was 20%, and low performing for my age and gender. I feared the worst, and my lack of knowledge and understanding of the medical diagnosis terrified me. However, my stressors were drastically reduced when I met Dr. Thomaides. He took the time to explain the process that I went through and the procedure needed to improve the heart ejection fraction to normal. Dr. Thomaides explained the areas of the heart with a model, pamphlets, and online videos.

Further, he explained the five components of the sinoatrial node atrial, ventricular atrioventricular node, atrioventricular node bundle, and right and left branches of the bundle of his SA node, etc. Finally, to improve my heart rate and its function, Dr. Thomaides and his team recommended a pacemaker to help my heart to beat stronger and improve the ejection fraction. Through his patience, knowledge, resources, and demonstrations, I was pleased yet, relieved by his recommendations and guidance toward a healthy heart.
Over the years, I routinely received treatment from Dr. Thomaides, and my heart rate improved from the initial 20% to 50%. As of March 2023, my heart rate was at 60%. This is a much improvement from when I suffered heart failure. In addition, the progression of my heart rate over the seven years had improved dramatically. I am grateful to Dr. Thomaides and Georgetown University Hospital for having him on board to help patients like myself improve their health and live a healthy and productive life. Dr. Thomaides is an excellent doctor; he loves his patients, cares, and believes in saving the lives of many ill people like myself. I want to let the world know what Dr. Thomaides has done for me and others who have undergone a medical emergency. His expertise, leadership, guidance, and care have helped me to live a healthy life. God bless you, and thank you, Dr. Thomaides.

Dr. Flury is a caring pulmonologist who personally checked in with me after my appointment to give me the results of my tests instead of having a nurse reach out to me. I would highly recommend working with her on breathing issues!
