Absolute embarrassment of a facility. Front drive is poorly run, and surly parking attendants provided a terrible first impression. Check in was incredibly unprofessional and unfriendly. Child was born and our elderly parents from far away could not go into a waiting room or anyplace in the hospital. Not even the cafeteria. They were told to stand outside. This is way beyond COVID protocols, and absolutely lacks common sense and is certainly not humane. Thank goodness we have choices. No family member or anyone I know, will ever get near this facility again. Our experience at Yale New Haven just last week was fantastic. Think twice before entrusting your healthcare to Hartford Hospital. If the admin side is this bad, you certainly can’t trust the healthcare.
