Colorado Canyons Hospital and Medical Center’s emergency department is certified by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment as a level IV trauma center. We provide surgical and critical care services as defined by the level IV scope of trauma care services. Most importantly, trauma-trained nurses and board certified physicians are immediately available upon the patients’ arrival in the emergency department. We provide evaluation, diagnostic testing, stabilization which includes procedures or surgery when needed, and if necessary, transfer to a higher level of care.
