FMC is a state-of-the-art healthcare facility, built in 1997 to replace the old Siskiyou General Hospital, which had served the residents of Siskiyou County since 1921. Every year, Fairchild Medical Center cares for more than 60,000 patients, including more than 12,000 Emergency Department patients. Fairchild Medical Center has a medical staff of more than 80 physicians with an active staff of 26 physicians.

Before I Wouldn't Have Recommended This Hospital To Anyone, I Would Rather Have Gone To Another Hospital Than Here. Even If You Where Broght In By Ambulance They Would Put You In A Room Get You Situated And It Was Like They Forgot About You. Three Or Four Hours Would Go By And You Would Finally Have To Ask What Was Going On. And You Would Get I'll Check With The Doctor And You Would Never See Them Again Unless You Called Them Again. MEANWHILE There All Standing At The Nurses Station Laughing And Carrying On. But The Last Two Times I Was In The ER, I Had To Ask If I Was In Fairchild Because The Doctor Was Constantly In And Out Updating Me The Nurses Where Constantly In And Out I Couldn't Believe It. It Was Like I Was On A Totally Different Hospital I Don't Know What Happened But The Change Is Fantastic Keep It Up.
