Stanford Health Care – ValleyCare combines the expertise of local physicians with the innovative strength of Stanford Health Care. Formed in 2015 when ValleyCare Health System became part of Stanford Health Care, we provide the Tri-Valley with exceptional, patient-centered community medicine, coupled with specialized Stanford Medicine programs to deliver a full continuum of care.
Since 1961, ValleyCare has remained a private, nonprofit, tax-exempt health care system. It is not publicly owned or operated, nor is it tax-supported. The new Stanford Health Care – ValleyCare will continue to be nonprofit, reinvesting any profits it makes from operations into new facilities, equipment and services, rather than providing them to outside owners in the form of dividends.
