In 1947 the citizens of Mariposa voted overwhelmingly to build a hospital in Mariposa by creating a Hospital District (now called Healthcare Districts). As a District they were able to receive funding from Federal, State, and County to build the hospital, which opened in 1951. Our organization has been striving to serve the needs of our community since we were established. We here at John C. Fremont Healthcare District are loyal to our community and will continue to strive for excellence in healthcare.
