The Redwood Memorial Foundation was established in 1981 after a group of Eel River community residents joined together to establish a philanthropic organization benefiting Redwood Memorial Hospital. Today the Redwood Memorial Foundation Board of Directors continues this tradition of service to the hospital.
The Redwood Memorial Foundation is committed to ensuring that Eel River Valley residents continue to have access to the best available health care services. The foundation works to support the development of charitable contributions and enhance the community’s awareness of opportunities for involvement with the hospital. Funds raised are dedicated to priority capital needs, core program needs, health education and support for new programs.
Additionally, the Redwood Memorial Foundation awards annual health care scholarships to qualified hospital employees, local students and community residents.
