Catalina Island Medical Center is the result of more than a century of evolving medical care on Santa Catalina Island. Although it is one of the smallest hospital in the state, due to its unique island location it historically has provided many of the health services typically found only at larger facilities. In 2010, Catalina Island Medical Center began the transformation to electronic medical records, creating a state-of-the-art comprehensive healthcare information system.
