St. Vincent's Blount is a faith-based, critical access hospital serving Blount County and surrounding rural areas with compassionate care. St. Vincent's Blount, the only hospital in Blount County, is licensed for 25 beds. In 2013, the hospital received their critical access hospital designation from the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Hospital services include med/surg and ICU units, a 24/7 emergency room, and inpatient and outpatient surgical services, including a GI lab. Specialties include cardiology, dermatology, gastroenterology, family and internal medicine, diabetes education, general surgery, lithotripsy, neurosurgery, optometry, orthopedics, pain management, physical therapy, respiratory care and urology. St. Vincent's Blount also has transitional care, infusion therapy, a sleep disorders center, and a seniors' day program for individuals coping with behavioral concerns.
