Urology
I have always had an interest in understanding how things work. Combining that with a never ending passion for and satisfaction that I get from serving, I realized that the field of medicine would provide me with daily opportunities to help those in need. I enjoy discovering more than just the medical condition of the patients I am treating. Finding out about a patient's family, their profession and their other hobbies or interests allows me to understand who my patients are as people which ultimately leads to better care.
A urologist is a health professional who studies and treats disorders of the urinary tract. Urologists can conduct tests, perform surgery, and help resolve any issues that a patient may be having with urination. Urologists treat the kidneys, ureters, bladder, urethra, and adrenal glands. They can also treat some male reproductive organs that are connected to the urinary tract.
