Megan spent most of her life studying the voice. She initially studied singing, participating in private voice lessons, singing in choirs and as a soloist, as well as obtaining a music degree with emphasis on the singing voice. Over the last four years, Megan has gained specialty skills and knowledge in the area of voice disorders and has put them into practice. As a speech pathologist, she loves helping and educating singers, public speakers, and anyone who is having voice difficulties.
A speech language pathologist is a professional who works with patients who has problems with speech. They are more commonly referred to as speech therapists. They can not only treat speech difficulties, but they can also diagnose patients whose problems fall within the scope of their area of expertise. The field is related to audiology but mainly focuses on a patient’s ability to make use of language. They may also work with cognitive communication disorders and voice and swallowing disorders.
