Dr. Jonathan H. Lee is a surgical oncologist who specializes in melanoma and complex skin and soft tissue oncology. He serves in a dual role of Systemwide Director of Surgical Oncology for Allegheny Health Network (AHN), and Director of Surgery for AHN Cancer Institute. He also oversees AHN Cancer Institute's 13 Disease Site Programs.

Dr. Lee previously practiced at Northside Hospital Cancer Institute (NHCI), where he founded the Melanoma and Sarcoma Specialists of Georgia. He served as Medical Director of Melanoma and Sarcoma Program, and Chairman of Research Advisory Committee at NHCI. He was Physician Director and Chairman of the Biospecimen Project within Georgia NCI Community Oncology Research Program (GA-NCORP), a six-hospital consortium funded by NCI. He also served the state of Georgia as a member of Georgia Cancer Control Consortium (GC3), a public/private partnership through Georgia Department of Public Health.

After receiving his undergraduate degree with honors at Amherst College, Dr. Lee earned his medical degree at NYU School of Medicine. He completed a general surgery residency and post-doctorate research fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center, and a surgical oncology fellowship at John Wayne Cancer Institute. Dr. Lee began his academic career as a member of Melanoma and Soft Tissue Oncology Program at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey, the only NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the state. There, half of his role included conducting externally funded translational research on tumor-induced immune tolerance of cancer.
