Dr. Matthew Noorbakhsh started with Allegheny Health Network in 2014 after completing a Trauma/Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Maryland R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. He received his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, and went on to complete his general surgery residency there as well. Dr. Noorbakhsh is certified by the American Board of Surgery, with added certification in Surgical Critical Care. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Noorbakhsh is the medical director of the Trauma Surgical Intensive Care Unit and associate trauma medical director at Allegheny General Hospital. He is associate program director of the AHN General Surgery Residency Program.
