Dr. Aghalar completed his residency in internal medicine, serving as Chief Resident at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. During this time, he had received the Outstanding Teacher Award. He later completed his fellowship in Hematology-Oncology at Hofstra-Northwell School of Medicine.
