As a certified nurse practitioner, Ruth works in conjunction with and under the supervision of our primary care physicians. Her services include performing well woman and well child exams; ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests; diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions; prescribing medicines and other treatments; managing patients’ overall care; and spending time counseling patients.

Ruth earned a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Missouri–St. Louis in 2013 and received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2000. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, Ruth commissioned in the United States Air Force and served four years of active duty. She served two tours in Iraq and received the Meritorious Service Award for deployments and time served. Ruth continues to serve as a military reservist training medical technicians. She previously worked as a nurse at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital - St. Louis in the cardiac cath lab for nine years before joining SSM Health Medical Group. She and her husband reside in the O’Fallon area with their three children.
