William J. Lowery, MD, received a bachelor of science degree in biology from University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He received his medical degree from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He completed his ob/gyn residency at the San Antonio Military Medical Center in Texas. He also completed a gynecologic oncology fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. Dr. Lowery has been certified by MD Anderson Cancer Network®, a program of MD Anderson Cancer Center.

He most recently worked in gynecologic oncology at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. He also served as associate program director of the gynecologic oncology fellowship program at Walter Reed, as well as director of robotic surgery. He previously served as a battalion surgeon in Ghazni, Afghanistan.

Dr. Lowery specializes in the management of gynecologic cancers and complex benign procedures with a focus on minimally-invasive surgery.

In his spare time he enjoys golf, fishing, and traveling with his wife and children.
