Amanda has lived all over the United States and even in two other countries however, she has lived in Colorado for more than 27 years. She holds two bachelor degrees – one in anthropology and sociology and one in nursing. Amanda continued her education by earning a Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Fort Hays State University. She has been a nurse for more than 13 years with most of her time spent working in critical care.Amanda lives by this Paul Farmer quote: “The idea that some lives matter less is the root of all that is wrong with the world.”When not working, Amanda enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, medical mission work and photography.
