Originally from El Paso, Texas, Dr. O’Meara attended the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana for her undergraduate studies before graduating with her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora. Dr. O’Meara completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Denver. Board certified, she has been seeing patients for more than six years, including practicing at a rural federally qualified health center. As a provider, Dr. O’Meara’s clinical interests include patient advocacy, chronic condition management, women’s health and mental health treatment.“I view my role to act as a health advisor. I want my patients to be able to ask me anything. My job is not always to tell you what to do - it is to help you sort out what is the best choice that you can make.”As one of six kids, Dr. O’Meara is most comfortable around happy chaos. She lives with her husband, young son, aging cat and dog of her dreams in the heart of Denver. When she is not at the office, Dr. O’Meara decompresses with a good book, baking or skiing.
