David L. Arbit, MD is a member of Summit Health’s Rheumatology team. Dr. Arbit has been practicing Rheumatology and Internal Medicine since 1993, and is former chief of Rheumatology at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood NJ. His special areas of interest include Osteoporosis and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Dr. Arbit has expertise in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, a cutting-edge technology that enhances the diagnosis of many rheumatologic illnesses and improves the accuracy and safety of joint and tendon injections. Many procedures which previously were limited to radiology or surgical centers, can now be safely done in the office with much less risk and cost, as well as greater comfort for the patient. Dr. Arbit was awarded a Medical Alumni scholarship from New Jersey Medical School, where he earned his doctorate.
