Rheumatology
After growing up on the east coast and completing her undergraduate degree at The University of Vermont, Dr. Rook earned a Master of Arts in Biomedical Ethics from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She continued her education at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where she earned both a Master of Public Health and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. She then traveled to Loma Linda University in California where she earned dual board certifications in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. She practiced in California for 8+ years before she and her husband were drawn to the mountains of Colorado. Dr. Rook has a passion for learning and seeking ways to improve patients' lives, which led her to get additional training and nutrition certifications from Precision Nutrition and life coaching from The Life Coach School on her own time. She embodies practicing what she preaches and always seeks to learn and grow.“We all get to create our best life by optimizing our mindset and habits.”When Dr. Rook isn’t at work helping patients thrive in their health, you’ll find her out in nature - hiking, running, paddleboarding, camping and snowboarding with her husband and trusty sidekick, Princess Buttercup. She has a passion project of helping women confidently thrive in life and health with balance in her life coaching business. You’ll also find her having fun at CrossFit classes and creating new delicious and nourishing cooking and baking recipes that she often shares with both staff and patients.
