Radiation Oncology
Dr. Lawrence Koutcher is the Regional Director of Clinical Operations in the Department of Radiation Oncology at NYP Hudson Valley Hospital and NYP Lawrence Hospital, and Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He received his medical degree from Cornell University, where he earned a National Cancer Institute Fellowship. Board-certified in Radiation Oncology, Dr. Koutcher served as chief resident during his four-year residency at Memorial Sloan-Kettering’s Department of Radiation Oncology. He is currently medical director of Radiation Oncology at the Cheryl R. Lindenbaum Comprehensive Cancer Center at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital.
Dr. Koutcher is a member of ASTRO (American Society for Radiation Oncology) and New York Roentgen Society. He has published numerous abstracts and articles on current issues in cancer treatment, including IMRT for head and neck cancer, post-mastectomy radiation for breast cancer, dose escalation in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer, and stereotactic radiosurgery for brain metastases.
