Dr. Hinerman graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Virginia Wesleyan College in 1978 and went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine in 1982 from the Medical College of Ohio. He has practiced in academic settings throughout much of his career, serving as Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon, and Clinical Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Florida.
Dr. Hinerman has presented research on numerous topics, including Carcinoma of the Base of Tongue, Radiation Therapy for Head and Neck Cancer, and Postoperative Radiation for SCCa of the Oral Cavity. His studies have been published extensively in publications such as Head and Neck Cancer, Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery, Current Treatment Options Oncology, Cancer, and the American Journal of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Hinerman was recognized by Best Doctors in America from 2005 to 2008.
