Pediatric Pulmonology
Dr. Asad Ansari completed his fellowship training in Pediatric Infectious Diseases from the University of Colorado, and Pediatric Pulmonology Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with additional training in Pediatric Sleep Medicine.
He serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Indiana University School of Medicine and the Marian University.
His main interests are evaluation of chronic coughing; recurrent wheezing; difficulty breathing; seasonal allergies and nasal congestion; recurrent infections; sleeping troubles and sleep apnea.
Pediatric Pulmonology is the medical study of children’s respiratory issues. The lung and sinus problems that children and teens face are different than what adults suffer from, so specialized care is essential for young patients. Doctors who specialize in pediatric pulmonology may treat children with cystic fibrosis and other lung conditions. They can also help severely ill patients who need the help of a mechanical ventilator as well as those on life support.
