Daniel H. Gruenstein, MD, provides care for infants, children, teens, and adults with congenital heart disorders – abnormalities that affect the function and structure of a patient's heart and are present congenitally. He specializes in interventional cardiology, including valve implantation, intravascular stent placement, and hybrid cardiac catheterization procedures.
Dr. Gruenstein's research is focused on innovations in cardiac device development. He serves as the chief investigator on several studies that assess new devices in preclinical and FDA approved settings. Additionally, Dr. Gruenstein was one of 7 clinicians nationwide requested by the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Intervention to take part in the creation and design of a biodegradable stent for pediatric patients. He holds several makeshift patents for his contribution.
