Dr. Baccus received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston Medical School. He completed residencies in anesthesiology and pathology at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas, and completed his fellowship in pain medicine at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. Dr. Baccus has held numerous military assignments including as a Special Forces Officer, task force surgeon and several years as a staff anesthesiologist at hospitals in the U.S. and Japan. He also served as the Anesthesia Department Head at U.S. Military Hospital Kuwait. In addition to his military service, Dr. Baccus has been honored with numerous military awards including the Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal and Naval Unit Commendation Award. Board-certified in pain medicine, Dr. Baccus is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pain Management, the American Society of Anesthesiology and the American Society of Regional Anesthesiology.
