Dr. Calenda completed his Ophthalmology Residency and his Transitional Internship at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center in New York. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Fordham University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was inducted into the national honor society Phi Beta Kappa.A Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Calenda is a frequent speaker and interviewee. He educates optometrists on treatment options for dry eye syndrome patients, and the use of antibiotics in the prevention and treatment of ocular infections.
