Took sister in with loss of peripheral vision. Dr. Woreta kept wanting to do cataract surgery. Tried to tell me that her loss of peripheral vision due to cataracts, which I knew to be untrue. Tried to tell me that her initial assessment of her vision was normal - again I knew this not true. Wanted to test peripheral vision after surgery. I refused, insisted on peripheral vision test. Came back abnormal - MRI shows glioblastoma. Delay for her preferred treatment would have delayed diagnosis of very serious deadly tumor for months. Her focus was on the cataract surgery (why? For money? Lack of knowledge about what loss of peripheral vision could mean?) and we had to strongly insist that she investigate the concern for which we came in. I feel there was an absolute lack of care and a strong desire to do the more remunerative procedure rather than investigate to find the cause of her vision loss. I would not trust her because I feel her focus was not in the well-being of her patient.

She was not helpful regarding my chronic dry eyes. She offered no helpful suggestions on the redness and pain, except to tell me I am getting old, deal with it.

Dr Woreta did very little during our daughter's visit. She literally looked at my daughter's eye for 30 seconds after it was dilated which did not make us feel confident in her diagnosis. She was kind and attentive at first but when she discovered that our appointment was a second opinion she became visibly annoyed and was very short in her answers to the questions we had. She also placed incorrect coding on reason for visit which resulted in the appointment not being covered by insurance
