Overview

Allison Gockley, MD is a gynecologic oncologist, specializing in the treatment of gynecologic cancers including cancers of the uterus, ovary, cervix, vulva and vagina as well as gestational trophoblastic neoplasia.
After graduation from Penn State University School of Medicine in 2013, Dr. Gockley completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital where she developed a deep commitment to taking care of women with gynecologic cancers and advancing the field through clinical research. She then went on to complete her fellowship training in gynecologic oncology at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Over the course of her fellowship training she received extensive training in minimally-invasive and radical procedures for the treatment of gynecologic cancers. She is able to utilize laparoscopy as well as the robotic platform (Da Vinci Surgical System) to treat the full range of gynecologic cancers as well as complex benign pelvic surgery.
Dr. Gockley has published multiple peer-reviewed articles in prominent journals; her most recent work has focused on the role of secondary cytoreductive surgery for patients with recurrent ovarian cancer, the potential role of PD-L1 inhibition for endometrial cancer patients and the interaction between clinical trial participation and end of life care. She is interested in phase II/III clinical trials to improve therapeutic options for patients with gynecologic cancers, especially investigating the role of targeted and immunotherapies.
