Nurse Practitioner
Sara joined OGI in 2017. She graduated in 2015 from Stony Brook University as a Nurse Practitioner in Perinatal and Women’s Health. Before joining OGI Sara lived and worked in New York as an WHNP managing patient’s gynecologic care and education. She also previously worked as an RN on the Labor and Delivery unit at NYU Medical Center and as a childbirth educator. Since starting her medical career, Sara has always known that women’s health was her calling. She is thrilled to now be at OGI to expand her practice.
A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse who has gone through additional training to provide more advanced medical and diagnostic care to patients with all different kinds of illnesses. These medical professionals generally hold at least a master’s degree, so they have a comprehensive basis of medical knowledge to help patients suffering from chronic and acute conditions. They may work in hospitals, intensive care units, hospice centers, and even doctor’s offices, depending on their specialty.
