Dr. Mustafa was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and moved to the United States in 2003. She received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry in 2008 and attended Morehouse School of Medicine. After graduating medical school in 2014, she joined Carilion Clinic Virginia Tech school of Medicine for residency training in Obstetrics and gynecology. She has special interest in pelvic floor muscle surgeries, minimally invasive surgeries and also speaks fluent Amharic.
