Overview

When you come to Dr. Sharon, your treatments will be personalized with empathy and compassion. When you have symptoms of Long Covid, Dr. Sharon will listen to your concerns and offer a treatment plan to keep you in good health. Since the novel coronavirus, Covid-19, first came to light in December 2019, we have seen numerous reports of people who have previously had the virus experiencing post-Covid syndrome (PCS) or "Long Covid." The known symptoms include chronic cough, nasal congestion, primary cough headache, sinus congestion, wheezing, shortness of breath, earaches, loss of taste and smell, sore throat, dizziness, muscle weakness, loss of balance, high blood pressure, anxiety, attention deficit, depression, and confusion. The potential catastrophic complications include pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the lungs), heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, vitamin D deficiency, and testosterone deficiency in males. Many thousands of people have experienced the above symptoms. The literature reveals estimates as high as 80 million people are afflicted with PCS. Many people have reported that when they seek help for those symptoms in emergency rooms and urgent care centers, the doctors can't find any positive results from standard diagnostic testing and have become dismissive. This led to a lot of speculation and concerns among the public about what this means for those who have contracted the virus. However, little information has been released by health officials about post-Covid syndrome or what symptoms may be associated with it. During your visit, Dr Sharon will discuss what is currently known about post-Covid syndrome and explore the known complications. He will explain what diagnostic tools are needed to identify risk of catastrophic events, how to prevent such events, and how to treat the symptoms. We have been studying this new problem for more than one year and we have treated thouands of patients with improved outcomes. We have seen many patients returning for treatment multiple times for the same recurring symtpoms. For those patients who cooperated with going for diagnostic tests, we have been able to provide preventive medicine. In Most cases, we were able to prescribe medication to prevent catastrophic events. The most common symptoms of PCS (long covid) include fatigue, chronic cough, and shortness of breath, primary cough headache, sinus congestion, wheezing, loss of taste and smell, sore throat, dizziness, muscle weakness, loss of balance, high blood pressure, anxiety, attention deficit, depression, and confusion. Many of these symptoms are also seen in other conditions, so it can be difficult to diagnose. There is currently no known cure for PCS, but there are treatments that can help lessen the symptoms. Some of the treatments that have been effective include: steroids, bronchodilators, antihistimines, decongestants, antibiotics, and cough supressants. We have devised treatment plans for people suffering from PCS. We are monitoring their health statuses using the Binah.ai artificial intelligence app to conduct facial scans through the patient's cell phone camera. Dr. Sharon orders imaging and blood tests to help dertermine the level of autoimmune inflammation and risks of further complications.
