Nurse Practitioner
Jaime Falvey, BSN, MSN, APN, specializes in ear wax, tinnitus, ear pain, ear infections (otitis media and otitis external), hearing loss, and balance and vestibular disorders, including benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) and Meneire's disease as well as nasal problems, sinusitis, and chronic rhinitis.
Before joining the Summit Health Ear, Nose, and Throat service, Ms. Falvey was a certified diabetes nurse educator with Mahwah Medical in Mahwah, New Jersey. She also has held positions with Mount Vernon Internal Medicine in Alexandria, Fairfax Ambulatory Surgical Center in Fairfax, George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC, and the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, all located in Virginia. Her experience has involved the care of patients with acute and chronic conditions, including diabetes, osteoporosis, and heart disease. She also has provided patients education and counseling on preventive care and nutrition.
Ms. Falvey is a recipient of the George Mason University/George Washington University School of Medicine Adult Nurse Practitioner Program Primary Care Award and the James Madison University Senior Peer Award. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.
Ms. Falvey says, "I studied for and entered the field of nursing and health care because I am gratified by listening carefully to and caring for my patients. I especially enjoy taking time to explain a diagnosis and what's involved in treatment so that my patients can take an active role in improving and maintaining their health."
