Mr. Hastings is the most disrespectful and condescending medical practitioner I have ever met. Not only did he talk down to me with an attitude of complete superiority, he also treated me as if I were someone who did not understand or speak English (I assume because of my ethnicity) but his behavior overall was horribly inappropriate and unprofessional. I have never been more humiliated and embarrassed in my life than during my experience with Nurse Practitioner Brandon Hastings. I would not recommend anyone seek treatment from him or do business with him unless you're okay with be talked down to like a child and made to feel like you're less than human. When my wife tried to speak with Nurse Practitioner Hastings regarding his attitude and treatment towards me he told her "I'm the one with the medical degree and license to practice medicine, if you're not happy with the quality of care your husband is receiving feel free to go to another hospital, the county hospital is 6 blocks south of here." He also implied because we have Medicaid as our primary healthcare option and no private health insurance that "we should just be thankful to have the ability to receive treatment at a private hospital free of charge instead of some of the local free/low income medical clinics." This experience has destroyed my faith in medical doctors and only reaffirmed my beliefs that people receive VERY different levels of healthcare depending solely upon your ethnicity and income level. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE SEEK TREATMENT FROM NURSE PRACTITIONER HASTINGS. He should be investigated by the California Medical Board in my opinion.
